Running should feel empowering—not painful or frustrating. Whether you are training for a race, getting back into fitness, or simply trying to stay active, inefficient movement patterns can lead to discomfort, decreased performance, and recurring injuries. A Running Assessment helps identify exactly what is holding you back so you can move forward with confidence.
Running Assessments are designed to uncover the root causes of inefficiency, discomfort, and injury risk. Our physical therapists evaluate factors such as:
Running Assessments go beyond simply watching how you run. Our physical therapists perform a detailed analysis of your movement patterns, strength, and mobility to understand how your body functions as a whole.
We assess your running mechanics through video analysis and functional testing, identifying inefficiencies that may be contributing to pain or limiting performance. From there, we create a personalized plan that may include gait retraining, strength development, mobility work, and targeted movement strategies.
This process is not about changing everything at once. It is about making precise, meaningful adjustments that improve efficiency, reduce stress on your body, and help you run with greater ease and confidence.
Choosing the right guidance can make the difference between ongoing frustration and real progress. Our clinics focus on individualized care and long-term success.
Your first session begins with a comprehensive evaluation of your running history, current concerns, and goals. We then analyze your movement both on and off the treadmill to identify key areas for improvement.
As your plan progresses, we guide you through specific drills, exercises, and technique adjustments designed to reinforce better movement patterns. Each session builds on your progress, helping you develop stronger, more efficient running mechanics over time.
A Running Assessment helps you move beyond guesswork and into a clear, structured plan for improvement. Many patients experience reduced pain, improved endurance, and increased confidence in their running.
By addressing the root cause of inefficiency, you not only enhance performance but also reduce your risk of future injuries. This allows you to stay consistent, enjoy your runs, and reach your goals without setbacks.
